OpenShot Video Editor is a free, open-source video editor for Linux. OpenShot can take your videos, photos, and music files and help you create the film you have always dreamed of. Easily add sub-titles, transitions, and effects, and then export your film to DVD, YouTube, Vimeo, Xbox 360, and many other common formats.

OpenShot is written in a few different programming languages. The interface is built with Python and PyQt5. Our video processing backend (libopenshot) is built in C++, and utilizes FFmpeg. Out interactive drag-n-drop timeline is built with HTML5, JavaScript, and AngularJS. Many of our advanced 3D effects and animations are powered by Blender.

OpenShot is available for Linux, OS X, and Windows.
